Governor Grants Four Hours “Seasonal Holiday – Administrative Leave” for State Employees on Friday, March 29th
Santa Fe – According to a memo from the State Personnel Office (SPO) to all Cabinet Secretaries, Agency Heads and Human Resources Managers, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has “authorized four (4) hours of administrative leave for classified and exempt employees, to be utilized Friday, March 29, 2024.” There are restrictions on the use of the administrative leave such as it cannot be calculated for the purposes of overtime, and for some may be used at another time before April 26, 2024, or forfeited. The Governor provided for the administrative leave in recognition of “seasonal holidays,” enabling state employees to “enjoy the additional time with family and friends.”
